While talk of consolidating Bison production operations into a single location had been around for over 25 years, Bison finally began to move forward with plans to do so post COVID and broke ground on an 85,000+ square foot addition in the spring of 2023. Two years later, our move is finally complete!
We’d like to say thank you to our dealers for your patience through the process and apologize for any possible delayed shipments. We hope there was minimal impact on you and your customers.
With the move, and the help of the entire Bison team, all production, powder coating and warehouse/shipping is now under one roof. This allows for improved working conditions as well as increased efficiency and capacity.
The Production Staff at the original 1100 facility was constantly readjusting its operations and floor space to stay out of the way of construction of the new addition. Despite these disruptions, production and shipping continued without negatively impacting our customers.
In an effort to improve the layout of the shipping department, and to replace aging pallet racks, the Shipping Department spent countless hours removing all existing inventory from the pallet racks so that new racking could be installed in a different layout and the inventory returned to the new racks.
Each department worked hard to overcome the challenges of down time and moving headaches as the Padding, Wood, Production, CNC, and Welding Departments, and Production Office Staff each moved into their new space.
None of this would be possible without our amazing employees putting in the extra effort. In addition to warehouse staff shuffling current inventory to allow for the construction and entire departments making the move to the new location, our production staff continued to produce inventory efficiently to reduce the impact on our customers. So, a huge thank you goes out to them as well!
