The popularity of custom full-color graphic padding of all types continues to grow exponentially, and Bison is investing resources to increase capacity, improve efficiency, and increase print quality and durability. Bison recently tested and upgraded the vinyl that we use for printed graphics on wall padding and most protective padding on portable basketball systems, volleyball stanchions, football goal posts, and scoring tables as part of our Continuous Improvement Program (CIP). The vinyl increased from 16 ounces to 18 ounces for improved tear resistance and has a printable finish that results in improved adhesion, sharper images, and more vibrant colors while retaining the fire ratings, mildew and U.V. resistance as well as player protective qualities.
In addition to making improvements in our vinyl and our printing process, we have ordered additional U.V. ink printers that are capable of running up to 24/7 unattended on large projects.
As previously reported, we will be moving into our new 85,000 square foot expansion which will have an enlarged “Padding Department” production area to increase throughput and shorten lead times further during our peak seasons.
Bison also has a talented and efficient art department that will help you create the perfect images with little or no guidance from your customers or we can print directly from customer supplied files in a wide variety of formats.
